SERVE IN KIDS

If you have a heart for children, we’d love to talk with you about ways to serve in RiverTree Kids.

Are you a Follower of Jesus?
We can’t introduce someone to Jesus if we don’t know Him first.
Are you willing to serve?
Leaders are servants. Jesus said he did not come to be served but to serve.
Do you desire to see God use you?
Leaders lead by how they live. Are you willing to let God use you to impact the next generation?

Child Dedications

Child Dedication is a special moment for families to publicly thank God for their child and commit to raising them to know and follow Jesus. At RiverTree Lake, we believe parents play the most important role in a child’s spiritual growth, and we want to partner with you as you lead your child in faith.

During a Child Dedication, parents make a commitment before God and the church family to raise their child with love, prayer, and biblical guidance.

As a church, we also commit to supporting and encouraging your family along the way.

Child Dedications are offered several times throughout the year based on family interest and are also celebrated annually on Mother’s Day.
Our Process
Before each Child Dedication, parents participate in a Child Dedication class designed to help you understand the purpose of dedication and how RiverTree Lake partners with families to disciple kids at every stage.
What to Expect
  • Attend a Child Dedication class prior to the dedication date
  • A meaningful moment during a Sunday worship service
  • Prayer over your child and family
Who Can Participate?
Child Dedication is open to parents or guardians who desire to intentionally raise their child in a Christ-centered home and be actively connected to the life of our church community.

MEET OUR RIVERTREE KID'S DIRECTOR

Joel Szymanski

Joel joined the RiverTree Lake staff in July 2025 and brings a heart for building relationships with families and helping kids experience the love of Jesus.

His favorite part of the job is meeting new families and spending time with the children in prayer, worship, service, and laughter. Joel is passionate about creating a space where kids feel seen, safe, and excited to grow in their faith.

One of Joel’s favorite Bible verses is Romans 5:8 (NLT): “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”

Joel and his wife, Lindsey, have two kids, Micah and Jette.

Fun fact: Joel plays the ukulele!
